5 year old male cockatiel, he needs an experienced avian owner and someone who is home a lot. I do not have time for him anymore and I think it is better he goes to someone who has the time to spend with him. He is a wonderful and sweeet bird, knows a lot of words, loves to be pet and to sit under your neck. BUT, it has to be taken into consideration that he is NOT good around other birds, nor with people he is not familiar with/attached to. He has separation anxiety and will scream when you leave the room. He needs someone to be around a lot, or at least for a few hours a day. There are ways to manage his behaviors that I can go into more detail about. Furthermore, a couple years ago he broke his wing but it has healed, however it has made it difficult for him to fly, resulting in him not doing so very often. If necessary, I can also supply a large cage and large standing perch.
