About this pet

6 yo Female Tuxedo cat - unspayed - has claws- good with dogs & kids - Harrison, AR This is Tophie (pronounced Toffee). Indoor cat only. She gets scared the second she is outside and will beg to come back in. She is such a sweet baby. Extremely skittish around new people, but will warm up once she knows she’s safe. She will lay on your lap, but only on her terms. Loves to window watch, play with string/toys, and get lovins. Does considerably well with kids and dogs. She has lived with an elderly cat before but they didn’t really get along too well. She would just hiss at the poor old fella for no reason. Could have been because he was a male cat. (She doesn’t LOVE little kids. She doesn’t hate them either, she may not appreciate the kiddos maybe being in her face, but she won’t do anything. She just runs away 😂) but for example, my 15m old may try to pull on her tail or try to grab her little paws. Tophie will get upset, but she does not attack. She just runs away, but will literally come right back for more 🙄 She needs a claw board or something to scratch on. She knows better than to use the furniture, but you should probably have a scratch post nearby. Tophie would make a great family cat or even a cat for someone who is by themselves. Comes with food, litter box, and pine pellets. (It’s $7 for a 40lbs bag at tractor supply. Way cheaper than actual litter, absorbs smell better, and she’s used to it) (Short back story: Got her in *** at 8wks old as a gift from toxic/abusive ex, I was with at the time. She brings up too many hurtful memories, as I am currently in therapy from that relationship, I’m finding she is triggering me. She isn’t anything like she use to be. She has overcome so much and has transformed into a loving kitty. I love her because she is my baby kitty that I raised, but I feel so guilty that I can’t give her the love and life she deserves. She is such a sweet girl and I want to give her a better family who will love her the way she needs)
