About this pet

Maverick is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd, Husky, and Border Collie mix. He definitely looks more Border Collie and has a lot of the Border Collie behaviors and traits. He is very protective but loves to cuddle. He is good with my kids, but he is not good with other children. Children are too high energy for him and he tends to get defensive and scared. He is not a good walker, and is reactive towards dogs and people while on leash. He goes to daycare daily and does well with the dogs while there. Once he is familiar and comfortable, he is the best dog. However, I am currently pregnant, and my husband and I work full-time jobs and do not have the time or funds to pay for training. Maverick needs training, and someone who is dedicated to making him the best dog we know he can be. He is the sweetest boy and has all the potential to be a great dog, but we do not have the money, space or time to give him what he deserves.
