About this pet

Miss Ellie is (we’re told) a chihuahua/pit mix. She’s a little over 3 years old and is up to date on all of her shots and I have her records from her vet. We got miss Ellie out of a bad situation christmas day of last yr and have done all we can for her, but we have 2 cats that we’ve had for over 4 years and she can’t even tolerate being around them. We also have a very small apartment so trying to keep them seperate at all times has become our main task in life and it’s exhausting. She’d do best in a home with no cats, she can be okay with most dogs if they’re slowly introduced. She is a very sweet girl and wants to be as close as possible to you at all times lol. She LOVES to play and wrestle with us. She has a big personality for a little pup and will love you to pieces. She knows basic commands like sit, stay (and she knows to wait for a release), give paw, lay down, roll over, spin, sit pretty. We’ve tried leash training her to stop her pulling but it’s been unsuccessful, although she is a fairly small dog so it’s not too bad to deal with. We have done what we can but we both have to work full time and unfortunately don’t have the time to give that she deserves. She’s been very spoiled with us but I think it’s time to put her first and do what’s best for her and find a home that would suit her personality better. I would also say it’s probably best to be a home with no small children, she does have a spicy side if she gets to playing too rough. She’s done great around my 6+ year old little cousins though.
