About this pet

We’re looking to rehome a very special dog named Lovie. She’s a sweet, gentle long-haired Dachshund who came into our family as a companion for my mother. It was just the two of them for several years—Lovie was her shadow, always by her side, especially in her final days in hospice care.Because of that deep bond, Lovie is a quiet, loyal dog who’s used to calm environments. She hasn’t been around other dogs or children much, but she’s very gentle with my 8-year-old son. She’s not a high-energy or playful dog—she’s more of a “curl up on the couch and snack while watching TV” kind of girl.Since my mother’s passing, Lovie has shown signs of mild anxiety, which our vet assured us is normal for dogs who’ve experienced a deep loss. They recommended more walks, a gentle routine, and a peaceful environment—all of which help her tremendously. Lovie is spayed and fully up-to-date on all vaccinations.We’re looking for someone who isexperienced,& understands canine emotions
