About this pet

We unfortunately need to re-home our cat, louie. We have had him since he was a kitten. Born in february. He is 7.5 years old. Indoor only. He has no claws. He is fixed. He never has sprayed and is litter-box trained. He is so sweet. He hardly ever meows, loves to be pet, and loves to sleep. He is a very mellow boy. why are we re-homing him? our home is not conducive to his needs. We have two little girls who he hides from all day. He doesn’t come out until night time. If we go out of town he will throw a fit and pee/**** on our rugs. This behavior never occurred initially but has slowly increased over time (since our first daughter was born… she is now 4). As our girls have become more rambunctious & our focus has been put more onto our girls, he has grown more irritable. At night, after our girls go to bed, his true, sweet personality comes out. He deserves to be his authentic self 100% of the time and our home is unfortunately not doing that for him. the home we are looking for: a home with no young children. Preferably a home with an elderly couple and/or a home with older kiddos who can give him the love and attention he deserves. A home where he can continue to be an indoor-only cat as he has no experience in the outdoors. We would prefer he goes to a home where travel is limited as this stresses him out. He loves to sleep in bed with us. He warms up to other pets so a home with another cat would be a non-issue. He has a more submissive personality. Truly a sweet boy who deserves a slower moving, quieter home. we will give you his litter box, cat carrier, a bag of cat food, a bag of cat litter, his brush, and his water/food feeder for free. we are sad to have to let him go but our home is just not conducive to what he needs. We love our lou bug so much. he deserves to be in a home where he can roam and be loved like he should. He is ready for a quieter, calmer season in his life… one where more focus can be put on him.
