About this pet

My partner and I are looking to find a new home for our sweet girl, Nellie. We took her in about a 2 years ago from a very difficult situation where she was confined to a crate most of the day with little care. Since then, she’s grown into a loving, smart, and loyal dog who just wants to be close to her people. Nellie is about 3 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and we believe she is a German Shepherd mix. She has completed training, knows commands like “place,” and loves staying active—whether it’s running outside, playing in water, or going for car rides. About six months after bringing her home, she developed resource guarding behaviors around food with our male dog. We worked with a trainer and saw improvement, but they will never be able to comfortably live together without strict management. Because of this, we believe Nellie would thrive best as the only pet. She deserves a home where she can fully relax, continue training, and be loved.
