However, the rescues in my area are too full for adults right now. Mibu came with his Shepsky buddy, Ookami, who is also for adoption. Mibu is believed to be German Shepherd/Rough Collie mix. A sweet boy, great with people and very loving and friendly. He is insanely loyal, good recall, staying close to the person he's attached to. While he can get along and play happily with other dogs, he tends to herd them if put in a group where he can get a friend to help him. Otherwise he is the most submissive dog in the pack. That said, his herding attitude causes him to nip and bark in their face, making most dogs angry and not want him around. Mibu would work well with someone who not only knows how to work with a herding breed, but can help him to utilize his natural herding nature in a positive manner. His best home would be on a farm where he not only has the space to get out all his energy, as he has a lot, but also one that has sheep he can be trained to herd. However, he can work with someone who only has one other dog that he can play with, or puppies. He's great with just wanting to simply snuggle close just as much as he is at running around, just as long as the person he goes to is willing to take him to get his energy out. His natural loving nature toward his human also makes him want to hug them or hold their hand regularly. A sweet boy, he will gently stand up so he can hug you, or ask you to hold his paw when nervous or just wanting your love.
